Putting Our Money Where Our Mouth Is: Write for ASCD Express
I’m harboring a hunch that we need to step up our professional development game. The quantity of school reform initatives (from improving test scores to Response to Intervention to technology infusions) without a resulting increase in staff gives us a great opportunity to reconsider ourselves as professional development leaders. And as staffing shrinks in America’s school libraries, it’s time to refocus our lens and consider whether we can actually have more impact working with 25-200 teachers than with 350-3000 students.
