Have you seen Book Pig? For an $8/month fee, your student can have books delivered to their home. Like Netflix, they keep the titles as long as they want, and then trade them in for a new title.

Um, I guess if you don’t live near a good public library?
That’s an introductory price though . . . but, still a good idea for underserved areas.
