Whoo-hoo! The building-level implementation toolkit for L4L has launched!
Tuesday, October 26th, 2010
Under the leadership of AASL Standards and Guidelines Implementation Task Force chair Susan Ballard, Melissa Johnston and I are pleased to announce that AASL launched our co-authored building-level implementation toolkit today.
Melissa, who helped author the original standards and the Standards for the 21st-Century Learner in Action book, and I been combing books, articles, blog posts, wikis, and more to seek out what we hope are the best resources to help you get a handle on what L4L and the Standards for the 21st-Century Learner mean and how you can share that information with stakeholders.
The toolkit includes PowerPoint presentations you can adapt for use with your staff, stakeholders, and parents; articles you can read; a primer on inquiry; recommended books; links to the writings and implementation ideas of other librarians; a sample job description and evaluation documents; blog posts from folks in the field, and more. The goal was to compile many great resources from many great thinkers in a single place.
And it’s free!
