I have to admit that I’m getting kind of addicted to our MAME Understanding by Design book club in Second Life. First, it forces me to keep reading a book at a time when it’s easy to get distracted by other priorities. And secondly, now that we’ve all learned to a) sit down and b) talk, we’re finally getting more used to how Second Life works so that we can settle into the discussion more.
It’s a reminder to me that technology can be an initial barrier that resolves itself into a useful tool when we persevere past the initial unfamiliarity.
Plus, PD in my jammies? What could be better? Well, OK, PD in my jammies with chocolate chip cookies wouldn’t be bad …
