MAME Leadership Institute, Day 2

Sunday, March 8th, 2009

Directions for poster project

Saturday was the 2nd day in the MAME Leadership Institute.  I don’t know how those of you who attended felt, but I got home from Frankenmuth Saturday night and promptly fell asleep from exhaustion! It was definitely a thought-stretching day as we delved deeper into the AASL Standards and their implications for our day-to-day work, especially against a backdrop of uncertain funding for Michigan school districts.

Hello from the MAME Leadership Institute

Friday, March 6th, 2009

Marcia Mardis and I are leading a leadership institute on the AASL Standards for the 21st-Century Learner tonight.

My part of tonight was to give the overview.  You’ve seen most of the PowerPoint here before, but here’s tonight’s remix

REMC 12’s wiki about the AASL Standards

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

Thanks to Gigi Lincoln for reminding me about the wiki put together by the media specialists of Michigan’s REMC 12.  (Michigan is divided into regions, and each has a regional educational media center and a regional media associaton.)

They’ve created a great wiki full of resources about the AASL Standards.  Be sure to click on their interactive graphical representation of the Standards and on the Standards link.

Thanks, Gigi!
